Parents have special concerns when moving the family...
As a mother of two, I can appreciate the concern you may have for your kids when you buy or sell a home. A child's age and ability to adapt to new situations can create a range of situations in which you may need extra help for a move. I will do everything I can to assist you with this process. My office is kid friendly. You won't find lavish furnishings and "don't touch" expensive items.

What you will find is a "kid's corner" with activities to help keep them busy and outlet covers. If you are selling your home, I have a "listing contract" for kids that gives them age appropriate tasks so they can feel included in the process (and help you in keeping their room clean). When you are buying a home, I can provide pictures of the new home for talks leading up to the move. I can also take photos for buyers and sellers of the old home to compile a "memory book".
The LaGrange County page includes school information. And here are some websites I have come across that include useful information for parents. The United States Postal Service offers tips for moving with kids. The American Academy of Pediatrics offers this page on moving. The State of Indiana has a childcare finder for locating childcare in Indiana. You can search the National Sex Offender Registry and the Indiana Sheriff's Registry when considering location. Our local hospital is Parkview LaGrange. If you are moving from outside of LaGrange County and your child has special needs I have firsthand experience with the local organization that provides services for those with disabilities from birth through adulthood, and the Special Education Cooperative in our area for school aged children.
If there is any additional information you need help locating, just let me know. If I don't know the answer, I will know where to go to find it.
